Is our country ready for a women president? Is the south ready for a black president?
I think the bigger issue is it looks like McCain is going to get the GOP nomination and he is almost as liberal as those two.
Not sure even after all the "terrible" Bush years if the Dems can pull this off. Let us not forget the
congressional approval rating is even lower than the presidents. We could see some big changes there too.

Much like myself, the Republican party in general and the South are irrelevant. Pick up some formerly Republican States in the West and nobody gives a crap about the barefoot inbreds down there. Sounds like you look up to them. Maybe you should head on down there!
The reason Congress is at such a low is because they have failed to live up to their constitutional responsibility to hold these criminals responsible for their actions.
Another funny thing, what happened to Up or Down vote in the Senate. We scared the crap out of these pussies our threats to change the rules if we didn't get our way, but we are fillibustering like it is going out of style!

Starting Wars with Countrys that didn't attack us (don't even say it, yeah I know Saddam was a horrible person,liberals don't like him, but the sad reality of it is, it took a bad person to hold together this nation that was put together by an empirical goverment in the first place, Iraq isn't really a nation as far as having an "Iraqi heritage.")
You'd think you conservatives would miss the surpluses of the Clinton years.
If they can't win this year than it would literally be like a one-legged man winning an ass-kicking contest.
I'm with anon#1 I think Obama will end up winning it. I think the Dems will lose if Hillary gets the nod.
Being a Republican does not make you a true conservative. Practicing and promoting conservative ways make you a conservative.
Bush has been terrible for the Republican party. Period. I'm am not nor have I even been a Bush apologist.
