I am working on two stories. The Lake Leota fiasco and the very important School Board Elections.

I would just like to say that I fully endorse Richard Woulfe and Melissa Hammann. I have lived next to Richard for years now, and he is a very concerned parent and citizen about the direction this school is going. He educates him self on the fact and researches the issues. He has always taken the time to explain to us what is going on. He is very dedicated. Melissa is AWSOME with the way she had taken on the issues, and researched them and given us the real answers. She makes sure the citizens of Evansville know all the facts, not just what the administration wants us to know. The most important thing we can all do is VOTE.... Go Melissa and Dick.
Funny Packfan you and I never agree but we do on this one. I too will be supporting both candidates.
I am going to make sure my entire neighborhood gets out to vote.
For God's sake Jeff, sober up and post something. I'll have to think twice before I sell you a case of Apple Pie Everclear again!

Anyone have an opinion on the Ziegler/Clifford Wi State Supreme Court vacancy? I was voting Ziegler but with the "light on sex offenders" thing, I think I'm changing my vote.

I think we will have a big turn out in Evansville TOMORROW just for the school board race alone. Richard and Melissa have done a great job all year on keeping on informed, let get them voted in so they can REALLY watch out for us.

It is the flooding on the west end of town. If you copy and paste the youtube address into your browser from my prior post, it should bring this up from youtube. Abey Koth already had water issues. I think it is being complicated by the grading of the new subdivision that is going in and will become even worse once pavement, roofs,etc. are in place that don't allow the water to be absorbed into the ground.
This flooding behind 6th st. happened one other time after an extremely unusual rain (I forget how many inches came down overnight), but this time it wasn't that unusual for a spring rain.
Well I hope your "school board elections" post wasn't important, because today is the day.
Keeping a blog going more than a week at a consistent rate is kind of difficult, huh? On th eother hand you could simply turn on your computer and write the following-

I am voting for Herbers and Lahti because I hate signs and women should be at home not discussing complicated issues like school stuff. Discuss.

let's talk about westfield park. who was the developer? we had a friend who was new to town and wanted to buy a house out there (a new school teacher). We told him no, no, but he did anyway. He said they assured them the problems were taken care of. We said no way. This is harsh, but we told you so, Tony.

Come on you guys, go vote. I strongly suggest Melissa and Richard, because all Jeff Herbers will do is rubber stamp everything. Be Heidi's puppet and give his wife nice raises and benefits. There should be a law, rule regarding family members being on the board. Go VOTE.
Mark I feel so bad for you guys out on the west side. Why don't you get a lawyer as a group, and sue the city and the builder who did this. Its pretty clear the city is not going to do anymore than what they have not done.
I also noticed that brand new soccer field parts of it are under water,, how many thousands did that cost? and it sits parts under water.

The new soccer fields are at the new West Side Park. They graded and planted the grass last fall. I will check out the situation when I ge thome and give an update.
