Another low turn out for our spring elections. I don't think people realize the importance of local elections. You shouldn't bitch if you don't vote but those who don't vote are usually the most vocal about property taxes and how the money is being spent. Anyway here's my take on the election...........
I was happy to see Tony beat Karen as she did nothing to deserve a seat on the City Council. As for Chasin's take on that I'll have a post on that later.
Is Janice's political career outside the city limits over? I thought she might get the Rock Co. gig but wasn't too surprised as Art is well respected in our community.
All the rest were incumbents this always surprises me as people sure like to bitch but are not willing to put their necks on the line.
The Frankenstein veto was voted down. Smart move regardless of which party is on office.
The Supreme Court race was a joke.
Again as for Chasin's take I have an entire post for that and for some of the other nonsense she's been spewing lately.

I can't post at Chasin's site because I do not want to register for crap and get even more spam email in my box so I will post here-
On a couple of recent subjects she discussed-
(1) Propaganda: She is an idiot. What official city newspaper is going to attempt to sabatage the city? There are more businesses in th edowntown now than before and during the road construction. Get over it.
(2) Truancy- How does that have anything to do with the mayor? And the mayor protecting the school? If you know sometyhing put it in your post otherwise you just end up sounding like a moron.
(3) Elected officials; you want honest, ethical officials. Wow I am blown away by just how outside the box you think. Duh, everybody wants that from their elected officials. Why don't you whip up a post about how being healthy is important. No shit. Then you say that soem officials do not act like this and allege that they take free coffee for votes. Better back that shit up. You can't because you have no credibility because all you do is bitch to bitch. Typical woman.
(4) Allow anonymous comments so you can get a new asshoel ripped on your site instead of someone elses. Or are you too afraid? I would be if I took such "forward thinking" takes on local issues. Maybe instead of just bitching you might want to actaully offer a solution. Here watch me. My solution for your idiotic blog is that it be boycotted. That would dent the pocketbook with your ad agency thing going on.

The mayor is a freakin joke. There is no MORE business in the downtown than there was two years ago.. they gain one , they lose one. But boy does the city spend money on it.
The mayor should have no business when it comes to the school.. However the school and the city are directly linked, by the court system. Judge Alisankus has every right to expect the school to follow the laws. They are not exempt.
How long have you lived in Evansville ?? It's well know the coffee shop gives elected officials free coffee all the time.. I worked there. NOW there are some who refuse and do pay for there own, but there are some who think they are entitled.
As for being boycotted, it would seem as there traffic it would seem as though it growing, sorry..

"Childish" -- I mean "childswish" -- shows us what happens when you stumble home at 3:00 in the morning after a night at the taverns and start blogging. I like the "I used to work there" claim. Any fool could make that up and every fool will believe it.
I don't frequent the taverns quite like you do. I guess thats more your thing.

Kirsten the only wish your children are going to have will involve wishing for parents that have better logic. Think about it- you have a blog about daycare centers- ergo you have children in daycare- you have worked as a barista at the coffee shop in town- your salary alone was probably not enough to pay for daycare- so why don't you just quit your dayjob and take care of your kids on your own since you are the self described "childswish".
